Hobby Review : Banpresto World Collectable Figure MEGA vol.3 Edward "Shirohige" Newgate

Massive & Super Cool !!
Perhaps because Whitebeard is one of my favorite hero character, it looks awesome. The detail was really stunning.

    3rd edition of this product is really difficult to miss out. This one kind of Whitebeard figure will be super COOL like this. Maybe in terms of coloring and similarity with the original manga artwork of Oda Eiichiro makes this a great piece of figure. The sculptor is do a well job, was really great to transform the figure of WCF MEGA that comes of so steady. Despite all of P.O.P (Portrait of Pirates) is the "Official" line recognized by Oda himself (which follows the manga SBS OP should ever read), I think this WCF has a higher percentage, leaving the comparation of the size of the figure. Maybe someone that has both P.O.P Whitebeard and WCF MEGA Whitebeard could be better to comparing the quality of similarity aspect of the character.

Box content is separated into 4 sections (5 if plus base), that figure Whitebeard intact, robes, pole stick and machetes of the spears. The main point of my attention is on the head sculpt of Whitebeard, it was really feels leadership and power of a Whitebeard. This figure is similar with the manga (if compared with the anime, it is difficult, because the anime series was a decline in the quality of the manga. I am a student of animation and know the challenge is to create animation so much, and graphic level of Oda is so nice but so difficult to have a level equivalent). Try your own look and value.

Cool right? Although there are no joints like WCF MEGA predecessor (it is reasonable), the mustache has a some special texture. Detail of the rough muscles, facial age, cloth line, can be seen by yourself in this picture below.

A cons here is little miss paint in the form of white dots inside the cloak.
