Yes, from the prototype that shown in Japan Expo, i just know that this will be all the best Luffy statue so far, in my opinion. Why i could say that? First : It is came from the original artwork that Eiichiro Oda made (even all of One Piece is great lol), Second : It is the best because it is has been used for a special event that happened worldwide. There is an event that called One Piece Newspaper Campaign for celebrating 300 million print copies of the "Manga", which is the comic book of "One Piece" itself. This artwork used for "New York's Times" and "China Daily", one of the best newspaper's from USA & China.
This is a CELEBRATION after all !
The "King of Artist" itself is a new product from Banpresto, and Luffy is the premiere one. This is a prize figure in Japan, and you can win this in a "Crane Game", a famous game in Japan that could win a prize if you success to pick a prize from that game.
Box itself is really good. I like the graphic layout for the font and illustration, the white box itself, and if you see the stop motion for the box, from the side box we could see the black and white design. I am kind of love for this design. It is nice to see a great design, even from the box. Let's see the stop motion that i have made below.
Box contains three parts of Luffy figure, which is upper body, lower body, and little diorama to help as a figure stand. You can see the size of figure with the comparison i made with android mobile phone with dimension 10 x 5 centimeters. Let's see the picture below.
Now, speak about the Luffy. The face is sculpted really well. It is luffy, definitely. The body and structure size is great. Scale
of this product is i could say a 1/9 or 1/8 scale. It is a big huge
statue. It is less height with the similar product from Banpresto,
called "Master Stars Piece", but if we talk about scale, it is equal i
think. Height of this Luffy aprox. 21-23 centimeters, and he is in a
"Special Pose", so imagine if this Luffy stand in normal way, it could
be higher. Let's see the Luffy's stop motion below.
His jacket and the jeans is absolutely fine, even less when you look and hold by yourself, i am sure that you will feel impressed. The scar is great though, even the feet and the slipper is sculpted really nice. And, you can see his jacket with hover effect, and his sash too, is a great result i think. It makes the strong feel about how the sculptor maintain the concept from Oda's illustration into a nice statue. Awesome. It is more than i expected.
About the cons, i know this is really small detail, but it is quite
annoying if you look closer on the paint in his face. His face skin is
more brighten than other of his body. It is really disappointing,
reminding that in the prototype that this error is not exist.
Nonetheless, overall is awesome. I will try to make article about his
face skin.

It is a must, if you try to collecting Luffy figure, or just a fan of this masterpiece of Eiichiro Oda. I am really sure that you will impressed. About the price, it is so-so, don't bother to buy it for 20-30 $. Of course that we don't even know if someday this figure will rare, so find and buy it as quick as you can.
